Support Worker / Secure Care Worker – Secure service for young people is a nationwide resource providing both secure and open facilities for young people aged between 10 and 17.
Their primary function is to offer protection to young people when they are in crisis and provide a supported pathway for the future.
Hours of work: 38 hours per week
Location of role: Haydock, St Helens
Salary: £21,639 – £23,590

As a Secure Care Worker, you will be required to provide outstanding care to children and young people who can demonstrate abusive and aggressive behavior. You will have the ability to continually reach out to them, show patience, understanding and work with our dedicated teams for the best outcomes.
This great opportunity will predominately cover nights. Your duties will include regular observations, completing reports/assessments and ensuring the safety to the children and young people at all times.
The successful candidate will have a Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People’s workforce or a willingness to work towards this, which will be funded via Nugent’s accredited assessment Centre.
Shift pattern: Shifts are based on 8.5 hours per shift on a 38-hour working week. You will work with other members of our dedicated team.
Interview: Social Distancing will be in place. Interview will take place alongside an assessment.
